about Telly’s Coney Island & Family Dining
Pavlos Telegadas immigrated from Greece to the U.S.A in 1970, where he worked as a cook, busboy, and dishwasher to learn the restaurant business. He opened his first restaurant in 1978, sold it in 2005, and opened Telly’s Coney Island in 2007 with his two sons.
The name “Telly’s” comes from their last name, Telegadas – Telly for short. They even incorporate family meals into the menu – both the Swiss Steak and Chicken Pot Pie are home cooked meals, passed on from generation to generation.
